I looked up a former post of yours, so I believe your ancestors were William Reves/Reeves and the Wiles brothers? When I looked them up under Tumlinson's roster and Company K, Cocke's Regiment I found their names but didn't notice any remark about one of them being wounded at Prairie Grove. I went over the casualty list from the True Democrat for both Hawthorn's Regiment and Chew's Battalion and could not find a name on that list either. Where did you find the record of one of them being wounded at Prairie Grove? If it is from a family record, perhaps the wound was slight enough that it was not noted in the regimental records.

As previously noted, Chew's Battalion fought side by side with Hawthorn's Regiment at Prairie Grove. Your ancestors likely served in Company B or C of Chew's Battalion at the time of the battle (Tumlinson's Company appears to be temporarily divided into the two companies) . A week after the battle, the soldiers who had belonged to Tumlinson's Company then became Company K, Hawthorn's Regiment.
