I, for the first time have her 1969 book Arkansas Gazette: The Early Years 1819-1866, and find it the most documented 428 pages of Arkansas history. Her numbe of references on Solon Borland are 2nd only to Wm Woodruff, in whose home John Baker Thompson and wife boarded when he came to Little Rock in 1859 to head St Johns' College. His home was a Union Officers hospital from Sep '63 across street north from the College.

She was good.
