Does anyone know about a bushwhacker raid into Clay County post 1862? I have found that several of my family members were killed in a raid there but have no details. I also suspect Sanford Marion Mann, either decided to go bushwhacking on his own after this, or he rode off with the attackers (he was married to a Yankee from IL). Is there ANY light here? With or without Sanford, any information would greatly advance my knowledge of the family in the area.
