Thank you for the insight. It sounds from reading the 6th Regt Ark Inf story they were ever bit as much, if not more so involved as the 3rd Regt Ark Cav during the war.

Have you (or does anyone) by chance have any names of students serving, or any other info concerning St Johns' College? Capt Oliver C GRAY of Co A, 3rd Regt Ark Cav, taught there 7 years (1867-1874), last three as president before moving on to Arkansas Industrial University for 21 years, then Arkansas School for the Blind 10 years where he died Dec 1905.
