The Arkansas in the Civil War Message Board

Actually, I posted this because I found it in a rather obsecure place. The Pine Bluff Daily Graphic was a small and not an often cited or well known newspaper.

There are only two men from Arkansas by this name listed in the National Parks CWSS index. I know that doesn't mean they were the only one.

The other man died at Fort Pillow in 1862. According to Bryan H. information, that he has posted, it does not give a disposition on the soldier in the 1st Arkansas Mounted Rifles. So I posted this as additional information for whoever was interested. It does not mean that this man was either of these two men either.

I did not know if Bryan had this information in his records or not, or just how verifiable it was.

Thanks for all the suggestions. One piece of the puzzle at a time is how detailed records are assembled and this may be the piece of the puzzle that someone is looking for.
