Howdy,
The 2nd Ark Inf Regt was in the Army of Tennessee during this time frame fighting in the Atlanta Campaign. Major battles in July 1864 were Peachtree Creek (20th) and the Battle of Atlanta (22nd). Also search on regiments at www.itd.nps.gov/cwss/ for a little more info on the 2nd and some of its commanders.
