Dick, as far as I know, Dacus' book is the only regimental history of the 1st Arkansas Mounted Rifles. It's a shame that a regiment with a combat record like theirs hasn't gotten the press that other regiments have.

Leeper's "Rebels Valiant," a regimental history of the 2nd Arkansas Mounted Rifles, can be used to follow the actions of the 1st Arkansas Mounted Rifles, since the two regiments were inseparable throughout the war, but I'd sure like to see a companion volume dedicated solely to the 1st Arkansas Mounted Rifles.
