Re: Vaughan/Vaughn family

Hello.
I just have to ask, do you know who his father may have been?
My great great grandfather was William Robinson Vaughan/Vaughn formerly of near Halifax, Virginia and later Mississippi prior to Arkansas. He was one of seven brothers. He is buried at Mt. Holly in LIttle Rock.
To be honest, every Vaughan I have found within the state connected to that original set of Vaughan brothers out of Virginia. Some lived in Tennessee, some in Mississippi and then all were later in Arkansas.
There was an Capt. Milton Vaughan, a son of Edwin and a nephew to mine, who after the war lived at Searcy and Brinkley. He was with the 10th Arkansas Inf. and at Shiloh. He was later in prison at Johnson Island. After the war, he returned to Arkansas and lived the good life.
I feel sure that may have been a little more than you asked for and off topic too, but I bet yours connects to these people. They were diehard Confederates.
If per chance you believe yours connects, I can send some interesting information your way.
Good luck.
Linda
