Robert Dedman returned to Princeton, married and was an attorney, died in 1899 and buried in Princeton cemetery.
Capt Holmes was s/o Issac Holmes and came with family from Virginia during the 1840's, bought hotel in which Oliver Grays' wife, Virginia Davis Gray, moved and lived during the war run by his wife, whom Col/Sen Solon Borland, M D left substantial funds and two slave women to raise his two daughters, Fanny & Mollie, when he went to Texas 13th Sept 1863, where he died 1st of January 1864, ---- and daugther Lou who married Col Henry Gaston Bunn in 1865, but died 1866, he later served as Chief Justice in Arkansas 1893-1904.
Princeton Arkansas was a very lively place during the civil war according to the 1983 AHQ publised diary by Oliver's wife.
