Widow's application of Arminda Martin

Arminda Mackey was born in Missouri in 1835 and married Thomas David Martin Jr sometime before 1858 in Searcy County, Arkansas. Thomas Martin Jr was the brother of my great-great grandmother. July 6, 1909 she applied for a widows pension from the state of Arkansas. In it she stated her husband enlisted in Co I, 3rd Arkansas Infantry (originally 1st Battalion, then the 18th "Marmaduke's" Infantry) and on or about February 1862 he died in the service of the confederate states. Proof of service was provided by P M Hensley who stated that he served in the same company with Thomas Martin and "that he died of measles at Bowling Green, Ky about Feb 1862." (He died February 9, 1862 at the Female Academy Hospital in Nashville, TN of typhoid)
On August 14, 1909 her application was approved by BP Gray and JC Wilcox for $100.00. Arminda Mackey Martin died in 1911 in Searcy County, Arkansas. I have a copy of her picture taken very late in her life.
