Danny, thanks again for the additional information. Out of curiousity, have you ever run across any mention, description or whereabouts of any surviving regimental flag for the 23rd Arkansas? I make the assumption that there was one but maybe I'm wrong. Another great-grandfather fought with the 6th Arkansas Infantry, CSA, Co. C, Dallas Rifles and I have found that several 6th Infantry flags survive. I have done some searching but can't find anything. Just wondering.
