Miller W. McCraw enlisted in Dallas County, Arkansas, on March 1, 1862; age 18, born in Virginia. He was captured at Port Hudson, Louisiana, on July 9, 1863, and was paroled on July 12.

I believe that this may the same man as M. W. McCraw who enlisted in Co. C, 2nd Battalion Arkansas Cavalry, in Dallas County on March 1, 1862; age 18; and probably transferred to the 18th Arkansas. The records of both outfits are too sketchy to say for certain, but the coincidences between the two men are very striking.
