John Greenwood who owned (the very large) Greenwood Plantation in Baldwin County, Alabama was my great great grandfather. It was a very large plantation. The area that is now Loxley was sold to Mr. Loxley by Grandfather Greenwood's son who inherited that part of the plantation.

My father's first cousin, Inez Greenwood, talked about sitting on her grandfather's lap on the front porch of the plantation. The large plantation house was destroyed in the 1950's. If anyone has pictures of it, I would appreciate if you would email them to me.
