All four of these soldiers were POW's and died and buried at the Camp Chase Cemetery.

And all four soldiers have never been listed on fold3 as of January 9, 2023.

For some reason I had found them on micro-film at the NARA in DC years ago but due to a lack of time and the covid issues did not return to the Archives until today.

After the CMSR's were put on micro-film they were photographed by Footnote. Years later Fold3 bought out Footnote. Today Fold3 and the NARA in DC work together.

The rules at the NARA are you cannot look at Confederate CMSR's jackets or their CMSR's unless they are unreadable and must be cleared by an authority. If you want to look at a CMSR then you must use fold3 even at the NARA.

When I brought these soldiers to their attention who were on micro-film but not on fold3 they looked into the matter and found what I had stated to be true. But to my surprise they also told me they had their CMSR's and would allow me to copy them or to take photographs of them which I did. They also said in the near future these four soldiers CMSR's would be on fold3.

I have only been researching the Confederate dead at Camp Chase. How many other soldiers fall into this glitch at fold3? No one knows.
