Ooops, my error, sorry. He is recorded on the Company D Muster-In roll as having joined for duty May 2, 1861 at Warrington, Fla., but is noted on this same document as stricken from roll. Then further down we see name appears cancelled. No other cards are found under his name although Company D bi-monthly muster rolls exist through the end of the year.

I cannot find the original Confederate enlistment requirements, however the first Conscription Act of April 16, 1862 made all white males between the ages of eighteen and thirty-five eligible to be drafted.

There all sorts of reason he was dropped. All I can find is that he was born 1825 in Alabama and listed in the 1850 Census as Isaiah Goodwin, a Farmer in Wilcox, Ala.
