Another bit of intelligence, Dobly enlisted at Sylacauga, Ala.

Dolby Ricgans/Riggins, 41, Private, Captain William C. Patterson’s Company, Alabama Volunteers,* joined for duty and enrolled March 1, 1862 at Sylacauga, Ala. by C. M. Shelby for 3 years, captured at Champion Hill, Miss. May 16, 1863, forwarded to Memphis, Tenn. May 25, arrived at Camp Morton, Ind. prison, no date, received at Fort Delaware, Del. prison June 9, paroled July 3, received July 6, 1863 at City Point, Va. for exchange, receipted for an issue of clothing July 8, 1863, signing with an ‘X’, “his mark,” no further records
