I am searching for my 2nd ggf Thomas Weathers (circa 1836 - circa 1894) who was age 24 and living with his wife Jane E. and son in the 1860 Cherokee Co, AL census. Based on Thomas' age and location, he could either be the Thomas Weathers in Co F, 19th Regiment or the one in Co A, 48th Regiment. Three of my Thomas' neighbors from 1860 were in the 48th in a different company. My Thomas survived the war, came home about 1871, and then left when he found his wife had remarried. I have never identified my Thomas in any census except for 1860. Can anyone tell me anything more either the Thomas in the 19th or the Thomas in the 48th regiment?
