Dennis, in my book "More Generals in Gray" I have a full page bio of Colonel Anderson.
and on Find-a-Grave I posted a photo of Col. Anderson taken circa 1900, when he was the lighthouse keeper in Galveston.
He's probably downplayed because General Dabney Maury accused Anderson of unnecessarily surrendering Fort Gaines in 1864. Anderson's reply was delayed because he was a POW and couldn't respond immediately.
