Glasgow for the war, receipted for an issue clothing November, 1864 /s/ ‘X’, “His Mark”, Neil Shows, again on December 31, 1864, last recorded present at the Jan/Feb, 1865 muster, subscribed and swore allegiance to the U. S. at Point Lookout, Md., June 17, 1865, resident of Butler County, Ala., light complexion, D Bro hair, grey eyes, 5’ 8-1/8”, released same day
Note, the only other Company I muster roll found in the records was that for the Jan/Feb, 1864 muster, he was not recorded on that roll
** Six companies of the 2nd Battalion and four companies of the 4th Battalion, Hillard’s Legion, Alabama Volunteers, were consolidated November 25,1863, to form the 59th Regiment Alabama Infantry

April 2, 1865, subscribed and swore allegiance to the U. S. at Point Lookout, Md., June 12, 1865, resident of Butler County, Ala., dark complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, 5’ 7-1/2”, released same date
