Thank you for the offer...I have been a member of the SCV for over 25 years and I am not related to the Middletons directly....many collateral ties however...the mention of Middleton to inform a man with Middleton ties that his ancestor who served in Daily's Home Guard (actually Dailey as spelled today) lived in the area of the Sepulga watershed, a major trail for deserters. Daily's Home Guard chased deserters and even Federal troops that escaped from Cahaba Prison through the Sepulga watershed as they attempted to reach the Federal camps at Pensacola.
