Re: Monroe county Alabama home guard

I suspect that M. W. Middleton may be Marion Wesley Middleton, son of John G. Middleton. Earlier info was from the Census or Enumeration of Confederate Soldiers Residing in Ala., 1907. He rec'd in Conecuh Co. Lib.: Marion Westley (sic) Middleton, no. 119; present P. O. FRD No. 1, Garland, AL. b 11/1/1846, at Simpkinsville, Monroe Co.,; entered as pvt. at Mobile in the 2nd Ala. Reserves Co. "G" on Jan. 1, 1865 and con't until close of war.

I have more information about this Middleton family and would be happy to see if there are records that can help you join the SCV. Contact me directly at da4mail@gmail.com.
