Lemuel H. Rikard enlisted with the 36th (G) on 28 Sep 1861.....no report of his death in 36th records, however, Lemuel Rikard is recorded as killed while serving with Co. E, 23rd Ala. (also a Monroe County, Ala. unit). The source for his death is from T.J. Emmons, a Monroeville man, in an interview years after the war. I regret that SCV Camp 1610 does not have an accurate or substantiated record.
