The service data I recorded were found in the U. S. National Archives Compiled Service Records of Confederate Soldiers Who Served in Organizations from the State of Alabama
And these I obtained on-line from Fold 3, a very find subscription service.
This is all I could find which might be hiw brothers, nothing to go on however:
George W. Briggs, Private, Company H, 8th (Hatch’s) Alabama Cavalry, paroled at Gainesvile, Ala., May 14,1865, no other records
Note, there are no company muster rolls found in the records which precludes information on his service
……….
James H. Briggs, Private, 24th Alabama Infantry, died in hospital, date unknown, no other records
Compiled Service Records of Confederate Soldiers Who Served in Organizations from the State of Alabama
…………….
G W. Briggs
Enlisted as a Private AL Cp Of Inst Talladega
This was found at another subscription service, C. W. Research Database. However, could not locate a service record for him
