Thanks. Greg, all of that will be in my new provenance reconstruction. The company was formed in late October, 1861 and mustered in to the 1st on March 1, 1862 at Ft. Barrancas. Captain Pruett and 165 members of the regiment escaped capture at Island Number 10. The flag was saved from capture at that time. It was clearly cut from the staff and is water stained. They escaped by crossing Reel Foot Lake.
