I'll give Jim Bennett a call. I seem to remember that there was discussion of making pig iron in caves, which was then sent South to Selma, to be used in making cannons etc. The route from Blue Mountain down is an interesting story. Pig iron would be easy to produce in caves. Thanks for your comment.
