I am trying to figure out where and when the Dale Avengers joined the 1st Alabama Infantry. Several online sources list them as Co. I.

I have the breakdown for the regiment as follows:

1861-1862

Co. A - Eufaula Gds (also called Gayoso Gds. and Pioneer Gds.) - in 1862 became the Eufaula Light Artillery

Co. B - Eufaula Rifles - in 1862 became the Eufaula Light Artillery

Co. C - Perote Guards

Co. D - Red Eagles

Co. E - Rough and Ready Pioneers

Co. F - Tallapoosa Rifles

Co. G - Alabama Rifles

Co. H -

Co. I - Clayton Guards

Co. K - Wilcox True Blues

Co. K - Guards of the Sunny South (aka John Gill Shorter Artillery)

In 1862 they reorganized as follows (again based on what I could find):

Co. A - Tallapoosa Rifles

Co. B - Wilcox True Blues

Co. C -

Co. D - Alabama Rifles

Co. E - Rough and Ready Pioneers

Co. F - Clayton Guards

Co. G - Perote Guards

Co. H -

Co. I -

Co. K -

So where do the Dale Avengers fit in here? And do I have the above correct?
