Lived to be 105 years old.

Forced along Trail of Tears at 12 years of age; fought in Mexican-American war; Chief Indian Scout under Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest in the War Between the States; highlight of career was the surrender of Colonel Streight and his men at Hog Mountain, Alabama; lived in Montgomery, Alabama after the War on what is now Rosa Parks Avenue; was seen often in his uniform on the streets of Montgomery; had a herbal shop in his home; attended reunions of the Confederate military; broke hip in February of 1927 and was sent to the Confederate Home for medical care; caught pneumonia and passed on March 3, 1927.
