Re: The intriguing life of Peter H. Larey

The Captain of Company M, 6th Alabama Infantry Regiment, was Henry M. Larey. I believe he was related to Peter Larey.

Captain Henry Larey died on June 17, 1862, of wounds received at the Battle of Seven Pines.

At the expiration of their original twelve month enlistment (April 1862), many of the men from Company M, 6th Alabama, re-enlisted in Company K of the 5th Alabama Infantry Regiment. As noted, Lieutenant Peter Larey served on General Robert Rodes Staff.
