A liberal act.
--Captain William Hodges, son of Colonel Fleming Hodges, residing near Okalona, is now engaged at Moulton, Alabama, his native place, in raising a company of volunteers for the war, whom he proposes to equip at his own expense. Colonel Hodges has forwarded to that neighborhood 5,000 pounds of bacon and 2,000 pounds of coffee for the use of the families of the volunteers of his son's company. Captain Hodges is a young man of finished civil and military education, and a grandson of Colonel William Hodges, who formerly represented Lawrence county in the Alabama Legislature.
