Uniforming of troops late in war.

My gggrandfather was at Camp Buckner in Talladega. I see where he was given new clothing in April 1864.
My question is....it is thought that Confederate troops were poorly clad late in the war, if so what type of clothing was issued?
I am curious to note the style as i.e. which depot.
He later joined the 12th Alabama in Virginia, and was with them until his capture the day after the battle of The Monocacy.

Any information regarding outfitting troops from Camp Buckner and later in the war would be appreciated.
