I hope this is not against the rules here but I would like to invite people to like my Facebook page on the 58th Alabama infantry. I have been researching this unit for several years and hope one day to write a book on the 58th. I am in the infant stages of locating every member of the 58th Alabama in the 1860 census records. I started it several years ago on microfilm but time was an issue and I quickly put it on hold. But with internet access to these records its much easier now as I can do it from home. However, it is still time consuming. Its not always easy to locate these soldiers in the census. I created my Facebook page so that maybe those who have ancestors can help me locate them easier. I am going alphabetically and I'm only halfway through the "B's". It might also be informative to those who re-enact in the 32nd or 58th as I will make post about arms and equipment as I find them.
