Benjamin E. Wilson, Private/Artificer, Company A, Alabama State Artillery, enlisted May 4, 1861 at Pensacola for 12 months, on extra duty July, 1861 in making and repairing harness, saddles & working on gun carriages, caissons and doing Carpenter and Smiths work in the company, subsequently on furlough to visit Mobile until 5th August and as escort to Sergeant Nelmes corpse, discharged July 22, 1862 by reason of the Conscript Act
