Thanks for the replies. I have pretty much everything available about his service, including later service with (I believe - I don't have the material with me at present) the 59th Alabama Infantry in a training capacity, in camps around Montgomery, and the 61st Alabama Inf. Reg't. at Pollard, Alabama. I'm pretty sure he never entered combat again, but he was commissioned and ended up retiring as a captain with the 61st. He died in 1870, at the age of 29. I've always wondered - and probably always will - if he died of his war wounds. Note - I did find, at some point in the past, an article from the Richmond Daily Dispatch: June 4, 1862, that lists him severely wounded, but no other hospital report or local (Montgomery, Wetumpka, Prattville) newspaper report that I have knowledge of, gives any more details. Once again, thanks for your help.
