King brothers in 2nd Alabama Infantry

The "Lane Guards" was formed in March 1861 in Pickens County, with Thomas Lanier as captain. Three brothers, Samuel, Joseph O., and John L., all sons of Williamson R. and Martha Bonner King, enlisted with Lanier. Some appear in Co B, 42nd Ala Inf, in which almost the entire company re-upped en masse after their enlistments in the 2nd expired in March 1862. I don't think any of these young men survived the war. What evidence is there that such was the case?
