An interesting cross over on Alabama CMSR's

I ran across an interesting cross over on the Confederate Compiled Military Service Records. It was a father and son cross over and the fathers discharge is listed on the son's CMSR. The son's name was John W. Black of Company H 17th Regiment, Alabama Regiment. His son's age was listed as 21 and is found at the very bottom of page 14 of his CMSR's. His father was John Black and his discharge papers are on page 16 of his son's CMSR. According to the 1850 United States census John W. Black was living in the household of John Black and his father had been born in NC and John W. was born in Alabama. While cross overs are somewhat common I've never encountered a father and son cross over before.
