Better late than never, I have just discovered a Confederate ancestor in my family tree, a great-great-great grandfather, James Monroe Pearson. Born on 1 February 1834, records indicate Pearson enlisted in the 46th Alabama on 2 May 1862. He died on 4 August 1914 and is buried in the Wadley City Cemetery in Randolph County, Alabama.
