Aside from Confederates killed or died of wounds during the Battle of Columbus GA, elements of the 8th Confederate Cavalry fought the 4th KY (US) near Wetumpka on Apr 13, 1865. For what it's worth, most of the battle of Apr 16th took place on the Alabama side of the Chattahoochee River.

A Federal soldier named John Peacock, 1st FL (US) Cavalry, died as a result of hostile action near Wetumpka on May 4, 1865. He is likely the last wartime casualty in Alabama.
