Each company of this regiment submitted a similar record of events from July-Dec 1861. Except for point of embarkation, each one reads very much like this one for Company F:

Nov 30 to Dec 31, 1861, shows station of company, Camp Gov Moore near Halls Mills.

"This company was organized on the 16th day of July 1861 and by order of Gov. A.B. Moore went into Camp at Butler Springs, Butler Co. Ala. on the 27th day of July, and on the 2d August received orders to march to Auburn Ala. to go into a Camp of Instruction and there remained until the 2d day of November 1861, being ordered at that time to report to Brig. Gen'l Walker at Huntsville Ala. and on the 8th day of Nov. stuck Camp and marched to Mobile arriving here on the 11th Nov.
Company was mustered into the service of the Confederate States by Major I.L. Calhoun on the 12th day of August 1861."

Disease was the most serious problem reported by any of the company commanders.
