Having been at this for some time, let me suggest that this particular critter doesn't exist. Quartermaster papers are somewhat difficult to review because they are divided among two different files. They might be found with an Alabama command as a regimental QM and more papers with the Confederate staff files. War Department clerks had a difficult job and probably no clear instructions about how to handle staff officers papers.

Keep in mind that staff officers were often reassigned, and many quartermasters received assignments to higher commands, such as brigade, division and corps. Other quartermasters were assigned to military posts. Some were assigned to special duties, such as paymaster and transportation. Quartermaster forms an interesting subject that needs further study.

Aside from some unit rolls, ADAH doesn't have Alabama or Confederate staff service files.
