George W. Larimer 42nd AL

I am looking for some help with a Lieut. George W. Larimer, Co. I, 42nd Alabama Infantry. He is listed with a group of other Confederate Soliders that died at the Harper House after the Battle of Bentonville. The Harper family had carried for these wounded Confederates after the two armies had moved on. The list of Soldiers was found in the June 3, 1894 issue of the Goldsboro Argus (newspaper). Further search of his CSR recorded no information relating to his wounding or death in his CSR.

To muddy the waters more, there is a Lieut. J. W. Layermer, 42nd AL etched on the Confederate Monument on the Bentonville Battlefield, possibly one of the dead buried in an unmarked grave at the site. There is no such name in the M311 CSR files for the 42nd AL. I believe this to be Lieut. Larimer, identified in the Goldsboro Argus article.

Thoughts or additional information much appreciated.
