Lee --

With the exception of post staff officers and Major Walthall, everyone else was either a conscript or a drill officer. If soldiers from Alabama regiments were assigned to Camp of Instrustion, I don't see them in the records.

At the end of 1864, a temporary command called McCroskey's Battalion was sent from Camp of Instruction at Wetumpka to Pollard in Baldwin County. Could be that Capt McCroskey's men received arms once they arrived at Pollard. These troops returned to camp once the danger passed.

No evidence that any combat-ready troops from either Talladega or Notasulga were available during Rousseau's Raid.
