I am interested in the Watts Rangers. The fought in 1865 in Monroe and Baldwin Counties.
Capt T. C. English was the commander. Was the Watts Rangers named in honor of Gov Watts or an institute or a military school ?

Thanks for any help. Capt English was married to the sister of US General George B. McCllelan and one of my ancestors.
