Thomas seems the most likely candidate at this time. Unfortunately, I do not possess Vol. 22 of the Confederate Veteran. However, the CV Obituary index does not list a King in Vol. 22.

KING, Alfred G., Private, Company B, enlisted August 12, 1861, at Summit, Ala., discharged December 5, 1862

KING, Annual, Private, Company B, enlisted August 12, 1861, at Summit, Ala., born in Blount Count, Ala., promoted Sergeant, n.d., died at Columbus, Miss. May 11, 1862

KING, George C. Private, Company B, enlisted August 12, 1861, at Summit, Ala., promoted Seargant, n. d., captured in Kentucky, declared exchanged at Chattanooga, Tenn. January 11, 1863, promoted 2nd Lieutenant, n. d., recorded Absent sick on August 31, 1864, no further records

KING, John C. Private, Company B, enlisted August 12, 1861, at Summit, Ala., killed 4 PM, April 6, 1862 at the Battle of Shiloh, wounded left side*, promoted Corporal, n.d., deserted December, 1863 from Camp near Dalton, Ga., no further records

* Believe this was Pvt. J. C. King, Company A, deceased, n. d. ca May, 1862

KING, Thomas Private, Company B, enlisted August 12, 1861, at Summit, Ala., wounded at Chickamauga September 20, 1863, sent to hospital, receipted for an issue of clothing June 12, 1864, no further records

Note: The last surviving muster roll for Company B was that for the period Jan. & Feb., 1864 when they were stationed near Dalton, Ga.
