Re: 15th Alabama Inf at Gettsburg
Have you read the book published in 1905, THE WAR BETWEEN THE UNION AND THE CONFEDERACY, And Its Lost Opportunites. Its Colonel William C. Oates book on the history of the 15th Alabama Inf Regt; and the 48 battles in which it was engaged. It has a good chapter on Gettsburg and the Round Tops. He mentions Law's march of 28 miles in 11 hours under the harsh conditions to arrive at Gettsburg and the Big and Little Round Tops. My G Grandfather was wounded and captured July 2, 1863 at Little Round Top.
