Walter, I am a grandson of a Confederate Veteran. My Grandfather born in 1845 and fought with the 38th Alabama (See my 38th Alabama web site) He was Pvt. John C. Green of Co. B. I was born in 1937. I have a half brother and eight living first cousins who would have called him Grandfather. I also know a couple of CSA Grandchildren not related.
