Yes I was just being brief and did not mention the Co Cdr at time of muster...and you are correct as to rank of Cpl. a typo on my part. Thank you for the additional information. I as well have seen information that both James Henry Pitts and William Ritchie Pitts mustered 1861 with Co K 19th GA IN Kingston Volunteers although William (R) Pitts was listed as William (M)Pitts. Both lived at the time in Cartersville GA with their father Coleman Pitts.
