Bartow Avengers also known as Walker-Bartow Avengers, was a name used by Company H, 23rd Georgia Volunteer Infantry. Soldiers from Walker and Bartow counties Georgia. They served under Generals Rains and Colquit in VA. After Chancellorsville they were sent south to Charleston, then to FL. Fought at Olustee (Ocean Pond), FL. They wound up with the Army of Tennessee and surrendered at Greensboro April, 1865.
