Thanks for your take, George. I suspect the Old Timers processing the Rebel Records couldn't figure them out either. That Edmund C. struck me as a misfit, but I'll re-think things. Still unclear to me why he was attributed to Texas and how transferred from AT to ANV. Referring to a tel op on staff (or a sig sgt as OIC) as "Captain" doesn't bother me, and could account for demonstrated competency in communications, although no middle initial in what I've seen otherwise.
