Alexander L. McEachern enlisted at Enterprise MS, Sept. 8, 1863, age eighteen, present or accounted for on roll through Aug. 31, 1864, wounded at Nashville TN, Dec. 15th and captured at Columbia TN, Dec. 22, 1864. Following treatment for gunshot wound at Nashville, sent to prison at Louisville KY, May 6, 1865. Released on oath at Louisville KY, June 16, 1865, residence stated as Isney, Choctaw County AL.
James Evans enlisted at Iuka MS, Sept. 15, 1862, and died of disease at Soldier's Home Hospital, Jackson MS, period recorded as Apr. 1 to July 10, 1863. His name, company and regiment are recorded on a list of Confederate soldiers who were killed in battle or died of wounds or disease.
I don't see either name on the 1920 census of Clarke County MS.
