Thank you Steve Stacey for your reply. It was very helpful. I live in macon county, Alabama near two roads l would like to know more about.I want to know where they went through macon county, where their stops were.I did not know the right names of the roads in macon county. I can't find out much about the roads or paths. I think the road that went from Uchee Bridge to Line Creek was named Persimmon road or path at some time. I heard that Fort Bainbrige, Lewis's Pub, Fort Hull, (Ft or Pt?) Comfert, and Cornells, were on the Uchee Bridge to Line Creek road and on the other road was Fort Decatur and some Creek towns.
But I don't know where the pubs or inns, forts, bridges, creek fords, or towns were located.
When did they exist, where are they located, and what are all their names?
Macon county seems like a hole in time, there is nothing about it.
I would appreciate any information anyone can share with me about the paths or roads in macon county. Thank you for your time.mox.nex@gmail.com
